Visibility & freight protection

CONNECTED PEOPLE.
BETTER VISIBILITY.

Shipment updates, system integration, and freight protection coordinated around the support your operation needs.

01 / Dispatch tracking

THE UPDATES YOU NEED.
PEOPLE YOU CAN REACH.

Coastal’s dispatch software brings shipment information into the operation. Truckbase supports dispatch status, driver confirmation, arrival and departure updates, and live tracking in transit.

Updates matched to your operation.
Choose who receives updates and which milestones matter to them. Your receiving team gets information it can use to prepare for the truck.
A call when the plan changes.
A loading delay or changed arrival time can require more than a tracking link. We establish when a direct call is needed and who should receive it.
Useful arrival visibility.
Shared tracking helps your team prepare and reduces the need to chase routine status updates. Available tracking and updates depend on the equipment assigned to the move.

02 / Load tendering & integration

RECURRING WORK.
CONNECTED SYSTEMS.

For customers tendering loads through their own systems, Coastal offers electronic data interchange (EDI) integration. Compatible connections, including systems such as Transplace, can send loads to CHH once setup is complete.

Clear details and acceptance.
Pickup and delivery information, the commodity, requested timing, and required drawings form the tender. An agreed process sets out how loads are sent and how acceptance is returned.
Setup before the first tender.
We check compatibility and a sample shipment with your team before the connection goes into use, so both sides can see that load details and updates arrive as intended.
Updates through the connection.
Shipment updates and tracking information can return through the agreed integration. Recurring work can be tendered without a separate call or email for each load.
People behind the connection.
A direct contact remains available when a tender is rejected, instructions change, or an update is interrupted. Your team still has a person to speak with.

03 / Safety & freight protection

PROTECTION BUILT
INTO THE MOVE.

Planning, visibility, and freight protection work together. Available electronic logging device (ELD) services bring truck and trailer tracking, hours-of-service status, and safety information into the operation, with coverage established for the assigned equipment.

Driver accountability and freight release.
Driver and equipment verification are part of pickup arrangements. Delivery-instruction changes and requests to redirect freight go through agreed contacts before action is taken.
Hours-of-service oversight.
Dispatch uses hours-of-service information to plan around driver availability and required rest, helping build a schedule the driver can carry out.
Route planning and safe havens.
Suitable stopping locations, higher-risk portions of a trip, and backup stops are considered as part of safe-haven planning.
Secure staging arrangements.
When freight needs staging, Coastal can coordinate property with fencing and camera security. Access arrangements and the protection available at each location are established in the plan.
After-hours responsibilities.
Agreed arrangements identify who receives alerts, who responds, and how your team is contacted around the coverage the move requires.

Security, staging, tracking, and after-hours support are established for each move. Talk with our team about the coverage your freight requires.
